Step 1: Remove Polish
Starting with a clean palette is important. If you have old polish on your nails, remove with acetone and a cotton wipe.
Step 2: File & Shape
Using a file with a rough and soft side (100/180 grit) take nails down to desired length and shape.
Pro Tip: If you want to shorten your nails, use clippers to cut, then use the rough side to reduce length, and use softer side to file to shape nails.
Step 3: Cuticle Care
Soak fingers in warm water for 1 minute. Using a soft buffer, gently buff excess skin off the nail bed (We always recommend leaving cuticle cutting to the pros).
Pro Tip: Apply MiniLuxe Nourishing Oil (Cuticle Oil) to each finger, gently rubbing into cuticle.
Step 4: Prep the Nail
One of the keys to longer lasting polish is prepping your nail before polishing. Using a cotton pad and alcohol (Not acetone!), thoroughly wipe down each nail, removing debris and oils. Apply a thin layer of MiniLuxe Perfect Prime base coat to each nail, letting it dry to a matte finish.
Step 5: Polish, and let your color speak for you
Follow with 2 thin layers of your favorite MiniLuxe Pure Polish color, waiting until each layer is dry before applying the next. Apply one coat of MiniLuxe Pure Shine to each nail.
Pro Tip: Dip your flat brush, Orange wood stick, or Q-tip in acetone to clean off unwanted polish painted on the skin around nail
Step 6: Patience is the companion to a great manicure
Let nails air dry (a fan is even better!) for 5 minutes. Add one drop of our No Smudge Finisher (drying drops) to each nail and dry for another 5. Nails should be dry to the touch after 10 minutes.
Step 7: Love and Maintain
Pro Tip: Continue to apply cuticle oil (Nourishing Oil Roller Ball) to nourish your nails daily post manicure
Pro Tip: For a refreshed shine apply a new coat of Pure Shine every two days.
