If you’ve ever wondered whether owning a high-end nail studio could be both purposeful and profitable, you’re not alone. Clean beauty and elevated self-care are having a moment—but savvy franchise candidates are looking deeper. They want proof of performance, not just polish. At MiniLuxe, we believe transparency is at the heart of every great partnership. That’s why we’ve updated our financial performance overview, sourced directly from our 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). In this post, we’ll spotlight how our top-performing studios are doing—and what that could mean for potential franchise partners. Setting the Scene: The MiniLuxe Model We’ve spent more than a decade perfecting a business model that brings together artistry, wellness, and operational excellence. With a foundation built on clean products, rigorous safety protocols, and some of the best-trained nail designers in the business, MiniLuxe has redefined what it means to get a manicure or pedicure. But we also know success in this industry is about more than just aesthetics—it’s about economics. The Top Quartile Advantage[1][2] According to our most recent data from 2025, the top 25% of MiniLuxe studios—what we refer to as the “top quartile”—delivered standout results. Here’s a snapshot of the numbers for the twelve-month period ending March 31, 2025: Average Gross Sales: $1,828,294 Average Net Profit (after accounting for 7% royalties and brand fund contributions): $201,788 Average Net Profit Margin: 11% These figures reflect performance after standard business expenses, royalties, and brand fund contributions—making them a clear, apples-to-apples picture of the profitability franchisees can aim for with strong execution. The Power of Owner-Operator Involvement At MiniLuxe, we believe that franchisees who take an active role in managing their studio can maximize profitability and increase retention of talented nail and wax designers. By serving as the owner-operator, franchisees not only foster stronger relationships with their team but can also draw compensation from the studio leader salary included in the Top-Quartile studio results, further boosting owner-operator return on investment. Average Studio Leader Salary: In our Top-Quartile studios, the average MiniLuxe studio manager earned $76,001 in salary, benefits, and bonuses. Owner-Operator Earnings: For franchisees who take on the role of studio leader, eliminating this expense increases profits to $277,789, or an implied 15% profit margin. By actively engaging in day-to-day operations, owner-operators can better manage their team, control costs, ensure client satisfaction, and drive business growth. MiniLuxe has seen first-hand the impact of a strong studio leader in driving more profitable results—both through direct oversight of costs and strategic management of the appointment book and client relationships.
